FAQ : OVERLOCK

Adjustment:

  1. Loosen the needle thread tension properly.
  2. Adjust the line (A) of the needle thread to the highest position, so that the released value of the needle thread from the thread hook (B) will be decreased.

Adjustment:

  1. Select the correct needle and thread number that fits the fabrics.

Adjustment:

  1. Replace with a new needle.

Adjustment:

  1. Adjust the clearance between the left looper tip and the needle to be ±0.

Adjustment:

  1. If the small spring does not function, pull it to be more tightened. NOTE: the thread broken might occur if pulling the spring too tight. If there is any groove existing on the tension adjusting plate, please change a new one.

Adjustment:

  1. Please adjust the tension of the needle thread.

Adjustment:

  1. Use a piece of the emery cloth to polish the surroundings of the thread hole.

Adjustment:

  1. Replace with a better thread to balance the threads.

Adjustment:

  1. Please be noted that the threads of the left/right looper should not be too loose. When adjusting the position of even one needle thread, related changes of the threads are needed to be noticed. A. Pull the needle thread tightly → the left looper thread is looser → the right looper thread is looser. B. Pull the left looper thread tightly → the right looper thread is looser → the needle thread is looser, too. C. Pull the right looser tighter → the left looper thread is looser → the needle thread is looser.

Adjustment:
  1. Adjust the height of the feed dog teeth to be 0.8mm~1mm over the needle plate, and keep the proper pressure of the presser foot at the same time.

  1. Adjust the height of the feed dog teeth to be 0.8mm~1mm over the needle plate, and keep the proper pressure of the presser foot at the same time.

Adjustment:

  1. When the needle is close to the upper dead point, push the needle forward a little to see if the needle tip touches the right looper or not. Then, adjust the height of the needle or the moving position of the right looper.

Adjustment:

  1. The needle guard inside must leave the needle before the left looper tip reaches the right side of the needle. The clearance from the front needle guard to the needle should be about 0.2 mm.

Adjustment:

  1. Move the needle plate forward a little to assemble in order to widen the clearance A a little.

    • (1) Check the guidance of the presser foot to confirm whether it matches the elastic tape width or not. The correct width can be done by loosening the screw on the presser foot to adjust the presser foot guide plate.
    • (2) Check whether the height of the presser foot and the horizontal and lengthwise positions of the preser foot are correct. Adjust the screw as shown in the figure to get the correct positions.
    • (3) Make sure the tape feeding step motor is right aimed at the guidance. Loosen the left/right position by adjusting the screw as shown in the figure.
    • (4) The trimmer tip is too narrow, which makes the elastic tape jammed. When adjusting the elastic tape, please loosen the fixed nut, and rotate the main shaft of the air cylinder to adjust the trimmer gauge. However, please be noted that there should be an overlap of 1 mm when the upper and the lower trimers move across to each other. Then, tighten the nut.
    • (1) Check whether the air pressure is enough .( 3KG~4KG)
    • (2) Does the upper trimmer overlap the lower trimmer about 1 mm? Adjust the fixed nut. Loosen and rotate the air cylinder main shaft to adjust the knife gauge to be 1 mm.
    • (3) The engagement of the upper and the lower trimmer is not enough. Loosen the screw and then tighten it a little in order to check whether the trimmer can trim the elastic tape or not. Meanwhile, please be noted that the engagement shall not be too tight. Otherwise, the trimmer and the air cylinder main shaft will be worn. Tighten the screw firmly after confirmed.
    • (4) The trimmer is worn and broken down. Replacing the trimmer is needed.
    • (1) Check if the power cord connects correctly..
    • (2) The male/female plugs might fall off or doesn’t plug well.
    • (3) Check the fuse inside the electronic box to see whether it is broken or not.
    • (1). Is the roller pressure proper? Is there any clearance of the roller?
    • (2) The tension of the elastic tape is neither equal nor well.
    • (3) The sewing speed is varied. Or, the fabric is pulled incautiously and as a result, the tension would be not even and equal.
    • (4) For adjusting the roller pressure, loosen the screw and tighten it a little until reaching the proper pressure. Then, tighten the scerw firmly.
